Local and statewide volunteers work on improving homes which are in disrepair. Teens and adults from LUMC have worked on this team and have been rewarded with the satisfaction of helping others. LUMC also serves meals to teams who are working in our area.
UNITED METHODIST VOLUNTEERS IN MISSIONS (UMVIM)
UMVIM participates in local (disaster relief) and foreign missions (building and medical teams). LUMC volunteers and volunteers from different churches in our district meet the first Tuesday of every month at 7:30 PM in our Fellowship Hall.
OPERATION REACH OUT SUPPORT AND PARTICIPATION
Supper is prepared and served by our members for Operation Reach Out once every quarter. Also, various Sunday school classes and groups within the church sponsor drives for supplies and food needed throughout the year.
A prayer chain is maintained to provide prayer support for our families and their loved ones. Volunteers pray and relay prayer requests to others on the chain. If you have a prayer request just call the church office and the chain will begin!
5K Run/Walk "Race for Home"
Leesville United Methodist Church sponsors a 5K walk/run race each year to raise funds for the Ebenezer Project and Habitat for Humanity. The Ebenezer Project, an interdenominational coalition of churches in Lexington County, partners with Central SC Habitat for Humanity to provide homes for deserving families in our area.
