Children and Youth
Opportunities
Sunday School Classes - For birth through
12th grade. Sunday school meets at 10:00 AM every
Sunday morning. Perfect attendance is rewarded monthly
by a selection from the "treasure chest" of
goodies located in the Sunday school office. In
addition to regular Sunday school class time, each
class has extracurricular activities and service
projects of their choosing.
Children's Summer Program - Held in
cooperation with St. John's United Methodist Church
and Faith Lutheran Church, the summer program is for
children in 3rd-5th grade. Field trips, service
projects, crafts and Bible story lessons are all part
of this summer-long program.
Vacation Bible School - VBS is for all ages
and meets in the evenings beginning with supper for
one week in the summer. Activities include arts and
crafts, Bible lessons, music, community service
projects and much more! An extra treat is when the
children present their special music on the last night
of VBS.
Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts - LUMC sponsors
Club Scout Pack 29 (from Tigers to Webelos) and they
meet the 2nd and 4th Monday nights, 7-8:00 PM. LUMC
also sponsors Brownies, who meet on Wednesdays at 5:45
