THE VERA GOLDMAN CIRCLE

The Vera Goldman Circle is one of two ladies’ circle groups at LUMC. Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month (excluding July and August) at 7:00 in the Conference Room. There is no meeting in July, and on the first Tuesday of August, the Circle goes out to eat together for the evening meal. There are presently around twenty active ladies in the Circle. Women of all ages are invited and welcomed to be a member of the Vera Goldman Circle.

The purpose of United Methodist Women is to serve through missions, both locally and globally. The ladies of the Vera Goldman Circle enjoy meeting together and participating in a new mission emphasis each month. Members volunteer to serve as program leader for a monthly meeting and also to serve with another member to provide refreshments for the group as hostesses. The December meeting is a special meeting since it is held in a member’s home who wishes to host. At this meeting, everyone brings a finger food to share. The December meeting is always an especially enjoyable time for everyone.
