Bill Jones
Although our members span 3 decades (30s, 40s, 50s), we find common ground in talking about our real-life walks with God — how we see Him and need Him in the joys and sorrows of marriage, parenthood, friendships, work, and play. We enjoy a fluid lesson format in an informal setting.
The Challengers
We are a multigenerational class that enjoys our time together on Sunday mornings and also time together as “Framily” (Friends who become Family) for cookouts, crafting, concerts, and more! Our lessons are video lessons which focus on relating the scripture to our every day life. There is always lively discussion! We are project minded and love working together to be His hands and feet.
Open Door
The Open Door Class is one of five adult Sunday school classes at LUMC. This class meets from 10:00-11:00 AM each Sunday in the last classroom on the right of the hall facing Main Street, Leesville. Members of the OD class who enjoy teaching, sign up to teach the lesson on any Sundays they are willing to do so. The lessons primarily come from the Cokesbury Adult Bible Studies series, but not always. Teachers may choose their own lesson to bring to the class if they wish. We also love to learn from Rick Warren and his Bible studies, and use his videos to “teach” the class at times within the year.
Coffee is always available, and sometimes there is a sweet treat to enjoy too.
New Life
We are currently a small class of all adult ages. Anyone is welcome to join the New Life Class. As a class we strive to grow in faith and keep rooted in the knowledge we are God’s children.
