Mission Projects during the Pandemic

Leesville United Methodist Church has typically had a monthly Mission focus. Sometimes, it involves collecting items to help a particular group. Other times, funds are donated for an organization. In spite of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic, LUMC continued on with the monthly Missions. Also, our Parking Lot and Fellowship Hall were used for community outreach by outside medical groups. Below are the ones that occurred during this time:

April, 2020-Native Americans-$250 collected

April, August, & October, 2020-Aldersgate Special Needs-$997 collected

May, 2020-Epworth Mother’s Day Offering-$760 collected

May & August, 2020-Because I Can Summer Literacy Program-$5,200 collected

June, 2020-List of items for Epworth after their fire. Those items collected and $520 monetary donations were sent to Epworth

September, 2020-Epworth Work Day-$2,130 collected

October, 2020-Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes-83 Shoe Boxes & $718 collected

November, 2020-Epworth Christmas Wish List-over 160 items collected, as well as $967 monetary donation. Delivered on December 9
